The Chaffee County Government - Serving Salida, Buena Vista & Poncha Springs, Colorado. The Finance department (719-539-3463)maintains the accounting and financial reporting system. The department is also responsible for the Human Resource Function. The Planning & Zoning department (719-539-2218)is responsible for advising the Board of Commissioners, the Planning Commission and the public on land use and development issues. The Building & Environmental Health department (719-539-2124) is diverse in that we offer several services; issuing permits and conducting inspections within Chaffee County for building, sewage disposal, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and zoning.
